Doping scandal is quite old for Pakistani cricketers. Shoaib Akhtar, Yasir Shah, and Mohammad Asif have many incidents in the Dope Test.
And now another Pakistani cricketer has been caught in the ICC’s Dope Test. This news has been reported from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Twitter account. The ICC’s rule is that the name of the player can not be disclosed unless the anti-doping agency approves the results of the Dope Test. So the PCB did not name the player in the tweet.
It is believed that this sample was taken recently for the Dope Test from a 50-over domestic tournament.
The penalty for guilty players will be determined based on the doping level. Which can be up to a two-year ban. Last year, King Hassan was banned for two years in the Dope Test, his cocaine was caught in the sample. The spinners, like Yasser or Abdur Rehman, also got the punishment for three months, and the crime was a little too much.
It is not clear what exactly has been found in the sample of the captivating player. Whether it is a performance-enhancing drug, or addictive, depending on the type of punishment it will determine.
The name of the player Ahmed Shehzad wrote that several media reports.
