Mashrafe Entered Top 20 In ICC ODI Bowlers Rankings

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has led Bangladesh from the front of the ODI series against the West Indies. Not only leadership, he is also the highest wicket-taker in the series. ‘Mash’ was rewarded with outstanding bowling in the whole series. Bangladesh captain has entered the top 20 in ICC ODI bowlers rankings.

In this new ranking released this evening, Mashrafe has moved eight places, at 19th position. New Zealand’s Matt Henri is in joint 19th position with Mashrafe.

Jupiter Bumrah of India is at the top of ODI bowlers rankings The next two places are Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan and Pakistan’s Hasan Ali.

Mashrafe has won 7 wickets in three matches in the series against the West Indies. The second highest wicket-taker of Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman and Rubel Hossain are two other pace bowlers. Mustafiz came two steps ahead in 17th position.

Bangladesh beat West Indies by 18 runs in the last one-day international at St. Kitts on Saturday to win the series 2-1 which is Bangladesh’s first bilateral one-day series win over the foreign venue after 2009.

After winning the series, Bangladesh’s position in the rankings did not change but lost one point. Mashrafe’s team has 9 points with 9 points. West Indies also lost one point, with 69 points at number nine. England top with 127 points.
